About Us

Lakbay Tsinelas is a community where we promote traveling like a local. 

We believe that traveling should give you a sense of freedom and break free from your comfort zones. And travelling like a local is a great opportunity to be immersed in a vastly different culture. 

We can see the places in a different perspective; we can learn how the locals live their daily lives; and we can receive the same treatment as how they treat other locals.

In this way, we can see a glimpse of who they really are. The more we get to know about the places, people, and culture, the more we get the sense of fulfillment in our travels. 

The word “Lakbay” literally translates in English as “travel, wander” while Tsinelas translate to “slippers”.

 “Tsinelas” or Slippers symbolize the locals since it is the most commonly used footwear in the Philippines in an ordinary day.
